I’m Meghan MacPherson, a Registered Counselling Therapist-Candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I am completing my candidacy under the supervision of Lorraine Keating, RCT. Learn more about the NSCCT’s Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and Complaints Process.

For over a decade, I have worked at the intersection of the mind and body. I began my career helping individuals find physical release through massage therapy, and today, I integrate that deep understanding of somatic safety into my work as a counselling therapist.

I specialize in supporting high-achieving women and girls (12+) who are navigating the invisible mental load, chronic burnout, and the complex transitions unique to the female experience. Whether you are managing the nuances of gender-specific ADHD, hormonal shifts, or the heavy weight of "survival mode," I provide a gender-responsive, trauma-informed space where your lived experience is the highest priority.

My work isn't just about talk therapy; it’s about practical healing. By integrating CBT, ACT, and Polyvagal Theory (PVT), we work together to move beyond exhaustion toward radical self-awareness and autonomy. I draw on my background in bodywork to help you develop body literacy and learning to understand and regulate your nervous system.

My practice is a LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC affirming space, dedicated to providing evidence-based care for IPV recovery, sexual health, and mental wellness.

I am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Women's Mental Health Specialist (CWMHS). I believe that reproductive and hormonal health are inseparable from mental well-being. Whether it is the monthly disruption of PMDD, the long road of infertility, the trauma of pregnancy loss, or the identity shifts of postpartum recovery, these are not just medical events, they are life-altering transitions.

Together, we will honor your journey and build the somatic and emotional tools needed to navigate these unique health conditions. Let’s collaborate to build a life that feels safe, balanced, and authentically yours.

If you’re ready to explore, grow, and forge your path, I warmly invite you to connect today.
